Social, Labor and Stakeholder Participation

A key aspect of infrastructure sustainability relates to social and labor aspects and stakeholder participation which are closely inter-related to environment. The breadth, depth, and type of analysis or consideration depends on the nature, scale, and potential impacts, risks and opportunities of a proposed project or program. These factors need to be considered during the entire project cycle to help improve project selection, siting, planning, design, and implementation by preventing, minimizing, mitigating, or compensating for adverse impacts and enhancing positive impacts. There are excellent opportunities to provide benefits or positive impacts associated with social and labor aspects and stakeholder participation.
